food for dreams (2024-25)
recording moments of peaceful, fragile movement, then slowing them down, while knowing that each of these moments is now in the past, a memory: so everything becomes magnified, and details that escaped conscious perception yet were imprinted in memory, now begin to emerge. It’s a kind of ‘zooming’ of time, where intimacy and intricacy are intensified, drawing the viewer into a deeper, almost abstract experience which still feels familiar, but leans more towards dreams of the ephemeral, than logic and reality.
'food for dreams' was first exhibited in the ‘Lalangue or Poetics of Existence’ group exhibition (curator: Yiannis Mitrou), in Back to Athens 12, 25-29 June 2025.
