food for dreams (2024-25)
Recording moments and then slowing them down, while knowing that each moment becomes immediately part of the past, a memory: everything becomes magnified, and details that may have escaped conscious perception, yet were imprinted in memory, begin to emerge. So a kind of ‘zooming’ occurs, and intimacy and intricacy are intensified. The viewer is drawn into a deeper, almost abstract experience that still feels familiar, but leans more towards the logic of dreams than that of waking life.
'food for dreams' was first exhibited in the ‘Lalangue or Poetics of Existence’ group exhibition (curator: Yiannis Mitrou), in Back to Athens 12, 25-29 June 2025.
